14 Dec Moshe Strugano Recommended Some Beautiful Places to Visit in Switzerland
Switzerland has a fusion of German, Italian, and French culture, with its own strong identity that makes this place an appealing travel destination. Switzerland perhaps small but it has some beautiful places to visit. From incredible mountain peaks to vague turquoise lakes and a landscape littered with primeval wonders, this place has something for everyone.
Here Moshe Strugano (Attorney – Moshe Strugano and Co Law firm) recommend you some of the beautiful places to visit in Switzerland.
Lucerne and Lake Lucerne
This is an attractive lakeside town surrounded by snowcapped mountains. It is home to conventional town squares, momentous buildings, decorated facades, and narrow cobblestone streets lined with shops selling conventional goods.
This beautiful town is also popular for its wonderfully preserved medieval bridges, one of that dates back to 1333. The picturesque Lake Lucerne is a huge sporadically shaped lake surrounded by towering mountains – a region, which is often said to be like the famous fjords of Norway.
The Matterhorn
The Matterhorn is the iconic pointed peak of Switzerland. It ranks among the highest mountains in the Alps with 4,478 meters in length, and its 4 steep faces lie in the route of the compass points. Here thousands of professional climbers visit each summer.
At the bottom of the Matterhorn, you can explore the beauty of Zermatt, an attractive village with a top international resort and top-notch restaurant and hotels. This place is beautiful for swimming, biking, hiking, and climbing in the mountains.
Château de Chillon
Your trip will never be memorable if you do not check out the medieval Château de Chillon in the Swiss Riviera. It is situated on an island in Lake Geneva, known as a lakeside summer home for the rich Counts of Savoy. The castle is the most-visited chronological monument of Switzerland.
Jungfraujoch
It is an Alpine wonderland, which is precisely a glacier saddle between two mountains. Here you can enjoy yourself with your whole family, starting from mountain climbing to tobogganing, you can do whatever you want. However, maybe the most remarkable attraction is the world-famous Jungfrau railway, which begins at Kleine Scheidegg and the train mount to 3,454 meters above sea level to Jungfraujoch that is the highest railway station in Europe.
Schweizerischer Nationalpark
In a realm with incredible scenery at every turn, you will find it difficult where to go. But one thing is assuring that you will visit the Swiss National Park, near Zernez once in your lifetime. It has snow-crusted glaciers, captivating meadows, hiking trails, and much more. And, if you are fortunate to get a chance to meet the local residents of the park such as ibexes, red squirrels, and red deer, your trip will become unforgettable.
Lake Geneva
Lake Geneva is one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland that stretch from Geneva in the west to Lausanne in the east. From the global bustle of Geneva to the lots of vineyards, which crawl up the hillsides around the lake, you can do many activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, etc. around the region. Even if you are feeling a bit lethargic, you can just sit back and enjoy the beauty of the lake from the floor of a paddle steamer since it crosses the water.
