25 Jul Energise your employees
We are stuck at the office from 9-5. Let’s find ways to energise ourselves and our employees. A few studies have shown how laughter and a bit of fun at work can increase productivity.
Theme day is a new concept
We know that casual Friday is a thing, but can’t we do better? Why not end a hectic week with an exciting theme that will boost morale and put everyone in the right mood for the weekend. You can ask your staff to vote on a theme if you’re stuck for an idea. Don’t forget to include some rules on what still is considered appropriate attire for the workplace. Examples include Superhero Day or coming to work in pyjamas. You could also tie it to any part of your business.
Introduce fun furniture
The office furniture doesn’t have to be boring and grey. You can’t do anything about the ergonomic desk chair but you could introduce some fun furniture to the kitchen and rest area. Why not treat your staff to some plush chairs?
Lunch break extended
Try to have an extended lunch every month to allow all members to eat with each other. You can use this time to catch a matinee or visit your favourite restaurant, rather than having a meeting. Alternatively treat your office to Office Lunch Catering from https://www.crumbsdelivered.co.uk/index.php/product-category/lunch/
Playtime
Playing isn’t just for children. We forget to play as we age, but this is actually beneficial both mentally and physically. Play time can be incorporated into your work day. You can bring in some Nerf guns, foam balls or game boards for lunch. Playing together with your colleagues can improve the working relationship and encourage employees to feel more energetic.
