12 Aug What to bring to a Selco interview
These are the things you can bring with you to the interview to prepare yourself for the interview.
Proof of Identity and Right to Work
Your Passport and/or Documents that prove you have the Right to Work in the UK (e.g. your Birth Certificate and National Insurance Letter).
Your Application and the Job Description
Print out copies of your completed application form and the job description for the role you have applied for. The night before read through your examples of past experience in order to memorise them in as much detail as possible. Having the job description in front of you will prevent you going into an interview completely blank.
Trade Cards and Certifications
Even if you’ve included all of your trade qualifications on your application form, it’s worth bringing the physical copies of CSCS cards, forklift licenses and so on with you to the interview. Many of the jobs at Selco will be based in trade environments, and so these qualifications will be taken into account from the word go. Examples of Past Experience
Write down a few examples of situations where you have used your experience in the past. Try to give as much detail as possible and include as many of the following details as you can: number of people in a team, products and services handled, targets achieved and any goals set.
Questions to Ask
For the Questions section, you can include a couple of questions such as the shift patterns, the team structure and the training that is provided by the organisation.
A Branch Contact Number
Look up the contact number for the branch you will be visiting before you arrive for your interview, this way if you are delayed on the way to the interview you can contact them and let them know that you are on your way.
